Bryson's Firsts

I would like to take time to recognize Bryson's firsts. Not because I want to brag, but more because I have not written them down and eventually I will start to forget the time when he did them. Also, because he had a few firsts this weekend that I want to share.

He first started cooing and giggling out loud all the time when I went back to work when he was 6 weeks old. I think he was begging me to stay with him. :)

Look a performer from the beginning. American Idol here I come!!

He rolled over for the first time a week after he turned 3 months old, and then he rolled from tummy to back a week later. Of course he did not start doing this all the time until he was almost five months old. Very stubborn like his daddy. :)
He has been trying to pull himself into a sitting position from the floor since he was around 4-5 months old, but he started sitting up right around the time he turned 6 months. I remember we went to Brandi and Chris' house for dinner 3 days after he turned 6 months, and I was really nervous about him sitting by himself because he did not quite have the best balance. But, he did really good, and has continued to sit really well since.

He started pushing himself up into the crawling position a couple of weeks ago, but he does not know where to go from there. I tried to help him, but then he ended up leaping towards the toy instead of crawling.
He started eating cereal for the first time on 1/26/08 and had his first taste of baby food last night (green beans - more to come on that later).

He said his first word that we could make out on 2/9/08, which of course was mama. Just kidding, wishful thinking, it was Da-Da. He just says it, but does not know who or what it means (at least that is what I keep telling Brian). And to Bryson's grandma Earp - Miss Taylor has ratted you out. She said the reason he knows that word so well is because grandma will play with him and say da-da all the time. There has been discussion on limiting her time with him (just kidding). :)

Saturday was B-man's for trip to the Zoo!!! I will share more on that later, but we had a blast.

Bryson - Mama is so proud of you and all you have accomplished so far. I am looking forward to watching you grow and learn new things. Love you baby boy.
