This is a picture of him cheesin' it after a bath. Check out all that hair. I can put it in a ponytail on top, but it makes Brian mad.
He knows what "no" means, but that does not mean he is going to stop. He will just stop and look for you and give you his cheesy smile (see above) and go right back to what he was doing. I am just proud that he at least stops for a little bit.He has two teeth on bottom, and he is getting a side one on top. He will look total hillbilly when it comes in and he has his two middle bottom teeth, and one on the side on top. :)
He started eating table food at 8 1/2 months, and I have not yet found a food he will not eat (out of the ones he can have). The kid does not even make a face when eating a lemon. He even likes guacamole and asparagus. And, he even eats the table food that he would not eat as baby food.
I love his face in the picture below - I just don't know what to think about it.
Here you can kind of see his two teeth.
He loves to go outside and play. Brian let him ride on the lawn mower with him and Bryson just thought he was big stuff! He also loves to read. I will read him a book and he will pull the flaps open, and sometimes he will turn the page (we are still working on it). When he does this he will look at me and start clapping for himself - he is so proud. Then he will take the book and go on and on like he is reading it to me, and then I look and the book is upside down. He is so advanced for his age - being able to read upside down! LOL! :)He is pulling himself up on things, sometimes not very sturdy things. And, the other day he decided he was going to slide off the couch. He was laying on the couch half asleep, so I went to let the dog outside and I guess he heard the door open and he scooted to the edge of the couch and thought he could just slide off. He may be tall, but he was not tall enough. He landed on a toy, and now has a bruise on his leg under his butt cheek and one on his back. That was our first uh-oh fall and I felt so bad. I had to hear it from everybody that I let him fall off the couch and now he is all bruised up.
On Monday 4/28 he took a couple of falling down steps. Brian informed those do not count because he was falling down while walking. Okay, I am 26 and I can not walk without falling down sometimes. So, we have been working on balance and walking and last night he took 5 good steps from grandma to grandpa (earp). We all started yelling and clapping - of course Bryson started clapping for himself.
I have loved every month I spend with him even more. Every night when he goes to bed I always say a little poem to him that is out of a book - How Much Do I Love You. At the end of the book it says "How much do I love you, let me count the ways. For if I had a millions days, and time enough for all the praise, I could not tell you all the ways - I Love You!" This completely defines how I feel about my little man.

Here are a couple of cute videos. One of him in the bath tub acting like he is swimming, and the other is him talking and gnawing on that comb.
